Futaba GY401 Gyro with JR DSX11

Postby Black Arrow on Sat Mar 08, 2014 12:41 am

Hi All, I am just getting into heli's and have been trying to set up a GY401 on a HK500GT using a JR DSX11.
When I boot up I am getting the quick flashing, but then a slow single flash. I have looked to see if I could switch from HH to Rate on the Rudder Switch but nothing seems to work. I have trailed the internet for ideas but have come up a blank.

Any help please?

Also anyone willing to train me close to Milton Keynes? I don't wanna have to go back to fixed wing lol

Sorry Joe

Cheers Andy

Are you using ch 5 to alter the gain figures? You know you cannot use the JR dedicated gyro option on the DSX-11...

MK heli club sounds like a close match

Hey mate, if I were you, I would be looking for a deal on a flybarless Heli ;)

In my very limited experience, they are much easier to get to grips with and fly much better when in the hands of a mere novice (me!)

My lad was pretty good with the flybarred T-Rex 600 and the logo 400, but when we changed over to a FBL heli, he came on
leaps and bounds!

FBL.....it's the future...!!! :D

Cheers, Dave.

Hi Guy's,
Thanks for the answers, it seems I had the wrong switch activated when setting up the model in the first place
I changed the switch in device selection to Aux 2 /Channel5 and was then able to switch between HH and rate mode.
I flicked the switch and was able to set the Gyro up, seems to work a treat now :D

Regards
Andy

P.S I already have 3xFBL 90 size heli's, An Outrage Velocity 90, Trex 700e Suzi Hans conversion (soon going to start a build into a Black Shark fus ) , Synergy E7
