Gliders

Guys

I know there's forum users out there who are into their gliders etc and after a bit of advice.

I'm looking for something that I can use as a dual purpose machine.

I'm currently (last six months or so) teaching my old dad to fly RC at the tender age of nearly 70 and whilst he's doing ok, naturally things start to get more difficult at this age. He's currently got a Prangster that I take him up with but thought a decent leccy glider might do him well. I figure he can get good long flights doing not much more than just souring into wind to get him used to being at the controls and with orientation etc and then flick the motor on and have the ability to do some more adventurous stuff when he progresses.

I would also like something that's aerobatic and quite lively that I could have a play with.

I remember Sandown about 97-98 when they had a demo of an (at the time) top of the line electric glider and was very impressed with its capabilities (probably on nicads) :o

Any ideas ?

Easy Glider, name says it all, run on LiPo's top seller, top flyer, piece of p!ss to fly and has taught hundreds of people to fly R/C
oh and cheap!
But not livly, Aerobatic gliders and learner gliders don't work well, aerobatic tend to have a flat wing to pick up speed easily and bomb about anything used to learn with has dihedral so doesnt do it easily, but it can be done! best off getting a learner for him and your own or take your Souka up the hill

I've also had one of these, and they don't costed that much to get up and running. And are very good in the end, you can do a bit of everything with them.

Out of the box the prop it comes with is for 2 cell li-po set-up. I ran mine on a 3 cell and it did course some problems in the end. But you can just buy the right prop in the first place for 3 cell.
