OK were currently organising a 2 hour session in Sussex, just down the road from Sussex Model Centre, so if you've been there you have no excuses!!!

7.30-9.30PM Saturday 27th Feb
No Heli/Aircraft/Lightweight slots, but EPP might be up at a different time to make things more relaxed!
Officially theres a weight limit of 500g to cover our arse but it's at the organisers descretion e.g GB YAK 55M/Telink is allowed.
It's an open event
£6 per pilot
£1 spectators
Peg board is run to keep things safe, 2.4Ghz pilots just flyyyyyyyy.
Power sockets provided and there is heating.

Size: 5x Badminton courts long with 1x Badminton court deep/wide
Height is around 40 ft safely without the heaters, a practise session allowed us to do vertical lines with level flight at eye height with no worries.
Its at Davisons Leisure Centre, Selborne Road ,Worthing, BN11 2JX
Any questions email triplejjd1@yahoo.co.uk or ring me 07825560747.

Jamie

I was at Twickenham yesterday, fairly busy as usual. Saw Craig's micro Yak 55 in action - nice.

Anybody here fly at the calshot events? I am about to join HEF and a few of the guys fly there. My micro 4-site is a bit worse for wear so i need to get a plane going for it. Whens the next few event?

I fly at Calshot and the last one for this season was a couple of weeks ago. Just come back from the last Reading event of the season today.

Nigel from HEF runs the Calshot events but as soon as we get clocks back and weather improving attendance drops right off. Calshot is a free for all, quite a few of us here fly there.

Only event I know about now would be Twickenham in I think a couple of weeks (see top of this thread).

Havant a good bet for micros as they have slots but again the last event of the season has just passed us by.

This season really my first proper go at indoor flying. Been trying to find challenges to improve my flying. F3A and now indoor stuff. Must say I'm quite addicted judging by willingness to drive hour and half each way to Reading today :-)

I did go to Calshot and Havant a few times a few years ago when the original shockies hit the streets (got one direct from Ikarus Germany whilst Perkins were deciding if they were going to be worth getting :-) ) Wasn't the geatest success. 3S 1000's and Axi 2208/34, must have weighted 250g with double that in thrust.
