Blob of hot glue where the wires are soldered to the plug give additional grip area :)

Good idea.............. actually on the wires themselves or on the housing ?

On the wires to the housing if that makes any sense, more the merrier.

I am a "deans connector" man too, mainly cuz thats what most batts came with when I started out, so have stuck with it, never caused me any issues, just one plug to pull out and puch back in, simple and works for me :D

I went with the Deans on this occasion and they were easy enough to solder.

Is it normal for them to spark when connecting ? hasn't caused any problems with the lipos but I always get a spark when connecting :?:

Yup, nothing unusual there, no matter what connectors your using, but if your using something like 12S, watch ya fingers

I use the blue EC3 connectors, better than everything else IMO..... ;)

What I like about these connectors is:-

1. That you actually seperate them by pulling the connectors themselves and not the wires....

2. They don't melt when soldering the wires on (Deans)

3. The wire sits in the gold connector as opposed to on it (Deans), therefore there is a much greater surface area bond (solder), therefore stronger.....

4. You don't have to use heatshrink - and lets be honest we've all soldered the wires onto deans connectors only to find we've forgotten to put the heatshrink on first..... :x

Anyone want to buy some Deans connectors, I have a load of them that I'm probably never going to use.....!

You have the wring deans connectors RICK, otherwise I would buy them from you, the ones with little ridges on pull apart very nicely and easily without using the wire. Your soldering them too hot cuz I have never ever melted one in my life and I have soldered quite a few now, lol

Other than that, fair point, you got me

Oh, and deans are DIRT cheap and easy to get hold from the Big Fish! (but they dont always have the little ridges on, lol

How about just using a servo connector for 10S? Might prove exciting
