RC Factory yak/phoenix

Postby tufty on Tue Jan 12, 2010 3:22 pm

Hi all,
Just wondered if any of you experts could guide me in the right direction, i have just purchased a kit from mark at park aero and will be building iminantly  having flown only wings before now i am joining the elite ranks of proper plane flying, general flying on the sim seems very straight forward, however i would like to start widening the enveloe and try some mild 3d.I wondered if someone could suggest which model would be most comparable to the yak on the phoenix sim, and what rates ,expo etc would be a good starting point :) hopefully a few hours stick time on the sim will reep its rewards when the weather tuirns kinder. many thanks vacey.

Tufty,

I haven't flown the Phoenix simulator (I am an AFPD man myself), but please do just go for the RC FActory YAK55 with a 3 cell set-up and digital servos. You on't regret it.

I acquired the above fom Mark at ParkAero before Christmas and have been having the time of my life flying it. Its a great for 3D traning and in the hands of a good pilot quite a 'weapon'. It also bounes pretty well when you get it wrong, which makes it kind of a realy world simulator.

With best regards,

Bill.
