Different travel adjust for each flight mode

Postby Tom.Laird on Mon Feb 11, 2019 11:33 pm

Hi guys,

Can anyone point me to a tranny that can have a different travel adjust for each servo in each flight mode?

On my XG8 the travel adjust value applies to all the flight modes, and although I can set the D/R per flight mode, that value is applied to both aileron or both elevator servos, and I'd like to adjust each one independantly. From what I see in the XG11 and XG14 manuals the same setting apply.

thank you

You can do this using the additional DR options using AND logic on the XG11.

E.g..
FM1 AND Rate Switch 1 = DR0
FM1 AND Rate Switch 2 = DR1
FM2 AND Rate Switch 1 = DR4
FM2 AND Rate Switch 2 = DR5

XG11 has 8 rates for each channel so just use this approach. The flight mode switch basically doubles or triples the rates available to you.

I have 2 flight modes usually and a different switch for rates on each surface using this method.

Also I know you said travel adjust but that's usually fixed per channel on each model. You just use DR to a percentage of this max throw.

I'm amazed how many people set models up using Travel ATV or what ever you call it. Had a quarter scale model in the other day with Travel Adjust down to 55% and then D/R at 35%!?
First thing would be mechanical set up, but in your case Tom as Dave has said, FM's allow different D/R and Expo!
