Had me going on those Futaba servo's aswell!!. Make sure you are running a 6v system on the Hi-tec's they will work much better.

The workshop/office at the back of the shop ain't big enough to swing a cat  I assembled it for pics in the shop but I'm building it at home, that means sitting room and bedroom untill I get my workshop/shed sorted.

I'm running 2 x 5 cell 2000mah packs through a powerbox 12, some people would say that battery back up is not really necesary on a 50ccer but better safe than sorry and not much of a weight penalty over a single larger capacity pack.

Right so I've got Hitec 5645MGs on ailerons and elevators and 7955TG on rudder, what about throttle, I have 3 spare S3152s but I'm thinking petrol engines and carbonite type gears don't mix (vibration) am I better going for another 5645MG or is this a bit overkill?

Not sure what everyone uses, but i have always used 3001's and 148's on my 50cc petrol models for chokes and throttles, absolutey no problems to date. :D

Andy, if you can upgrade the 5645s on ailerons to 7985s you will really notice the difference. They make the roll start/stop much snappier :D

Overkill for the ailerons, your servos will be fine Andy. My Pilot RC Yak has S3050's on Ailerons and the Composite Sukhoi runs 3010's !
As for the throttle any standard servo will work fine or a mini digital servo ( as i have used) mounted on the motor box will do fine.
