Time has come, so i better get going !
A BIG Thank you to Mark from Vanderbuilt Models for the Great deal on the airframe and all the bits for it ! Nice one Mark
This is going to be a slow-ish building as i only have 1 hour to put on it a day, but as i now started, i wont stop, so she should be in the air in 2-3 weeks ! ish......
set-up is :
DA - 150 + zimm`s
11 x Hitec 7955`s + swb arms all around
Power Box Champion RRS
2x 4800mha lipos + nimh on ignition
bubro linkages
2 x JR 921 rx`s
and loads of bits and bobs....

Please fell free to add comments and opinions about the building and specially, things that you see that i could improve !

So far impressed with the airframe, the quality is really outstanding, fuz, wing, stabs, rudder`s ( yeah... it comes with 2 rudders ) everything is really well built and finished off ! it feels like a winner already !
the kit came with some basic hardware, but Mark sells some propper stuff for the jobby !

so... i`ll shut up now and get building !

well, havent done much so far, but had plenty of thin CA all around the engine box and reinforced it with some triangle bits of wood inside and out ! fuel proofed the engine box inside and out too , and areas around it...
1" hole on the firewall, as recomended by the manual for engine installation !
Undercracker and tail wheel has been placed too ! so it stand on its own legs !

no flying tomorrow so should get up early and get down to the local model shop to get some wood and other bits, so engine, powerbox and a few things should be done and dusted by tomorrow !

ok.... with today`s bad weather, i had a chance of getting on with the building,
only been working on it for a few hours as i had the family over for dinner till 3pm, otherwise i could done some more to it !

Got the engine on now .... quite a time consuming step but it has to be done right, the manual tells you how to line it up right, so the spinner backplate fits well with the cowl ! and it does ! and the trust angles are already there, so no messing around with off sets...just get it right with the cowl and job done ! used 11mm standoffs and a couple of washers to shim it out !
tested the fitting with the spinner, and it lines up nicelly ! result !
also had the ignition put on place,
placed the powerbox where it will stay, but will get a carbon plate to cover all the cables, so powerbox might be removed later and re-installed at the same spot, but on the carbon plate instead !
Fitted the stabs, i have to say, thats the first model im building without any, and i mean any messing around with the bolts on stabs to fit the fuz.... its always a bit a mission, well not on this one ! nice and easy,
another easy bolt fitting was the canopy, it again, fits really nicely and no needing any adjustment !
done the hornes on controll surfaces too ! and started to wire the elevator servos extensions....
well it was getting late so decided to give up !

Not building tomorrow as im out all day, but building gets back on monday !
