PA Ultimate AMR 60

Postby Billy Bunter on Thu Dec 27, 2018 4:29 pm

Thought I do a quick post on this, which I picked up last week and had flying for Christmas Eve.

Basically, its FANTASTIC!!!

I had a couple of the smaller PA Ultimate AMRs. They were great fun, but always flew like a small model and were very highly strung in tumbling type aeros.

In comparison, this new, larger version, really does fly like small aeroplane made big! It is very well behaved and forgiving, whilst continuing to be highly agile. High alpha knife edges are a doddle, harriers (both upright and inverted) are rock solid and torque rolling + tail slides are a delight! I also own a Chip Hyde Double Vision, which is larger. And, I'd say this PA Ultimate AMR 60 is more capable and better flying.

I put the Ultimate together in about 5 hours and the only change I made was to fit a small Dubro tailwheel unit. I'm using the stock iPA motor, ESC, servos etc and a pair of 3s 2,200 mAh Overlander 35C LiPo packs. I'm getting a 7 minute flight time.

For anyone looking for a small electric model that will 'flatter' your flying and fit into an estate car fully assembled, get one of these! You won't be disapointed.
