Note to all Premium cable customers
Regrettably we have to accept that a defective servo Premium cable was shipped in the period 2014 / 2015. Information from customers indicates that the insulation of Premium cables may become brittle over time, and we therefore request that you check the cabling in your model in order to avoid failures in flight. The insulation breaks off.
We are already in contact with the cable manufacturer who has immediately instigated a chemical check procedure. To date our information indicates that only a partial shipment from 2014 is affected by the problem.
The manufacturer has also pointed out that Premium cable can be damaged by protracted exposure to UV radiation. Tests carried out in the open air over a period of six months showed no damage, and it was only after a year in constant UV light that deterioration to the insulation could be determined. Since the cable is installed inside the model, this should only cause problems in a very small number of cases.
If parts of the insulation on your cable should become detached from the copper, we request that you send us a photograph of the damage and include your date of purchase. Naturally we will replace your cable immediately as a gesture of goodwill.
