T piece fir fill and drain

Postby ollie on Tue Aug 16, 2016 10:10 am

Hi all
i have just got a pilot edge 50cc kit and it comes with a nice fuel tank with a ali cap, my question is that it only has 2 pipes, 1 breather and 1 fill and drain with a T piece. i normally use 3 pipes but is the T piece just as good.

thanks for looking

Both will work fine, downside on 2 line is that the t is on the feed to carb. This is a potential source of leak which may lead to engine running issues. If it's well put together and maintained it should be fine, lots of people do it this way. Not to say 3 lines is bullet proof but it's certainly the better option.

Always just used 2 lines and a T and never had an issue
fuel line is not bloody cheap for what it is so the less I have to buy the better in my book
And the less there is the less to go wrong
I normally make my own T,s and then always cut a 5mm piece of tube and stretch it over the line and then fit it
don't like them wire grips they sell as they never feel that good to me and with the vibration can cut the line
so I always just use a short piece of fuel line
3 works as well if that's what you like :|
Due to economic circumstances, the light at the end of the tunnel has been turned off until further notice
