Snap directions in the 2014 Intermediate

Postby Tom.Laird on Wed Dec 11, 2013 11:03 pm

Hi,
Could someone clarify the snap directions in the 2014 Intermediate for me please?

Is it:
Manouver 1: model inverted, push on elevator, model pitches towards the sky
Manouver 6: model upright after half roll; pull on elevator, model pitches towards the sky
Manouver 7: model upright across top of loop; push(???) on elevator, model pitches towards the ground ???)

For manouver 8 on the downline, is the 1/4 roll at the centre point on the downline followed by the 3/4 roll, or are these considered as a pair whose centre is at the centre of the downline?

thanks

Tom

You have the snap break the right way for 1,6,7.

For 8 the rolls are centered and the is a slight hesitation between them.

Also note that the snap in 6 is in the opposite direction to the half roll.

Tom, don't think of manoeuvre 8 being in the centre of a line - Instead think of the line length before the first quarter roll being the same as the line length after the three quarter roll.
The loop and negative snap might seem a bit strange and I see your point, as it seems it might fall into the loop but it does work fine, with practice. Try different speeds and power settings etc to find the right one that looks the best.

Hi guys,
Thanks for the replies. Best to get it clear rather than risk practicing the wrong manouvers.
cheers
